Why homestay?

Staying in the homestay of Mr. Taksin will offer you the chance to get into the house of local Thai people, to see their lifestyle and to learn from it. For most travelers this will be a unique experience as the life of these people is usually very different than that from westerners. It is very interesting to see how living is still connected to surviving and to nature. As this homestay is built next to the port you will gain an incredible amount of new experiences and knowledge offered by the fishermen.

Mr. Taksin has a small coffee shop next to his house where all the fishermen gather to have a chat and a laugh. Some of them speak a little bit of English and they are very interested to hear your stories and to see the pictures of you trip.

The whole fishing community will benefit from the homestay and fishing tour as a different fisherman is chosen every time. The life of these fishermen can be very hard as the catch can be disappointing and not even refund the cost of the petrol.
